KA Commuter Jabodetabek (also called KRL Commuter Line, formerly known as Jabodetabek KRL) isthe electrictrain lines operated by PT KAICommuter Jabodetabek, a
subsidiary of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PTKA).KRL has been operating in Jakarta since 1976, up to now serve the commutersin Jakarta, Bogor, Bogor regency, Bekasi, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City.

In 2008 formed subsidiary of PT KA, PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ),which focuses on the operation of an electric railway line in the area of Regional Operations (DAOP) 1 Greater Jakarta, which at that time had 37trains that serve the Greater Jakarta area. PT KCJ start KRL transitmodernization projects in 2011, to simplify the existing route into 5 major routes, elimination of express electric train, the application of a special car for women, and change the name of economic KRL Commuter Train conditionedinto. The project continued with the renovation, rearrangement, andsterilization facilities and infrastructure including rail lines and train stations, as well as the placement of the security forces on each carriage.When the Tanjung Priok Station opened again after a total renovation in 2009, the electric train line increased to 6, although not yet fullyoperational. In July 2013, PT KCJ began implementing an electronic ticketing system commet (Commuter Electronic Ticketing) and train fare system changes.
